Zaurus Certified for ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard

In addition to the management systems for information security and privacy (ISO 27001 and ISO 27701), Zaurus has been working on setting up a quality management system (ISO 9001) over the past year. At the end of January, the ISO 9001 audit took place and on the first of February we officially received the certificate from our auditors at BSI.

Why get certified for the ISO 9001?

The ISO 9001 standard is important for nearly every sector. It is a standard that tests the quality management system of the organization. This system must show that the organization has a good overview of the extent to which products or services meet the needs, requirements and wishes of customers and other stakeholders and whether there are solid processes to continuously improve quality.

A good quality management system like ours increases customer satisfaction and ensures that the quality of our products and services is clear, measurable and verifiable. It includes the various roles and responsibilities, complaint processes, incident processes, customer satisfaction surveys, continuous improvement, recording processes, requirements and acceptance criteria and management reviews.

The ISO 9001 is a nice and logical addition to the certificates already obtained and shows that Zaurus takes the topics of information security, privacy and quality very seriously and that these topics deserve constant attention.

Quality management at Zaurus

Our CISO and quality officer Michelle Spit has extensive experience with the ISO 9001 standard and with quality management in a broad sense. Partly thanks to this experience, she had mapped our processes in no time and the preparation and final audits went very smoothly and successfully.
